Wellington Surf Co is a locally owned family surf shop and surf school, run by local surfers Stuart & Lisa. They are both lifelong ocean lovers, who have built a lifestyle and business based on their passion and love of surfing.

Stuart's family goes back five generations in the local area and he took up surfing with his father at 12 years of age and has since been surfing at Lyall Bay for over 25 years. Lisa his partner also grew up surrounded by the ocean in Ireland, which has some of the worlds top surf breaks and is a trained lifeguard and surfing instructor.

Stuart and Lisa's knowledge and experience are invaluable to surfers of all levels. They are both extremely passionate about giving their customers the best surfing experience, finding out what equipment they need and sharing their knowledge and love of the ocean. They also have a gorgeous Yorkshire Terrier called Akela, who is also part of the team.

At Wellington Surf Co. we live and breathe our brands everyday in our surf school, which gives our students the re-assurance that the equipment they are buying has been tried and tested by us everyday during our classes.

We also guide our students on the right equipment to buy during our surf classes based on their current ability and goals. We welcome you to trial run some of our equipment at your lesson or by doing a practice rental, to make sure you are happy with it.

We offer ongoing support to our clients after they have purchased our products. You can rest assured knowing that when you buy your equipment from us, means that if you ever have an issue we are right here to help you at our local store. We pride ourselves on offering the best possible customer service.

Our surf school is located at the safest spot to surf, right by the Lyall Bay Surf Lifesaving Club. We teach everyday the surf is up, so please feel free to drop by and say hi. Take a lesson and get any free advice about surfing on the day.
